Mathematical Poetry

Home

Many people ask me what mathematical poetry is. Fortunately, I gave a talk about this topic, and here are the slides:

In August 2022, unfortunately, I couldn’t take part in the poetry reading in the conference “bridges math and arts” that took place in Helsinki. Instead, this video represented me. This is the first poem I’ve written originally in English.

In August 2021, I took part in the virtual poetry reading in the conference “bridges math and arts”. In this video you can listen to two of my poems – one of them deals with a mathematical definition (Limit) and the other one with a theorem (Fixed Point Theorem). The poems were originally written in Hebrew and are translated to English.

I took part in the informal music night of the virtual international conference “Bridges Math and Arts 2021”, and for this event I translated one of my songs to English and recorded it at home. The lyrics include a metaphor from physics, and this is the rough connection to math.

For more poetry in Hebrew, not necessarily mathematical – try wandering around my YouTube channel.
